The title of this article is from the book I used in college concerning the bible and how it was written. The funny thing about this, and completely unexpected, three long haired guys turned Christian after reading the bible for only half a semester. What happened to them afterward I have no idea.
About one month ago I dug that book out and read the blurbs as concerns who, and when, they wrote the bible. It really is a point of conjecture rather than fact, who wrote which book and when. In actuality, it matters not as men didn’t write the book but transcribed what God told them to write into Greek or Hebrew. Was it Luke that wrote the Book of Luke or Matthew, the Book of Matthew? We can only take the bible’s word for this and, again, it shouldn’t even be debated but that is what college used to be about before schools turned political.
If you’re going to believe the bible for what is written in it you must understand that it is the word of God, no matter who penned what or when it was penned. This is what stumbles scholars as they need everything catalogued and filed under dates, times and subject matter. The bible does not work that way as faith is involved. Faith is difficult for many due to scholars and pundits and even rogues who are in league with their own stunted minds who cast doubt and dispersion on the most purchased and read book in human history. Were all these humans bilked into believing that which is a lie? Put that way one needs to say definitively: NO.
The fact that so many disparage the bible is due to so many never having read a thing but a bumper sticker concerning the bible. The secret is, the bible speaks to your heart, not your scientific mind.
I write this today as a warning to those who enjoy the bible but do not believe it all to be fact. God wrote it, not mankind. This comes straight from God and woe to any who try to change God’s Words.
