Mention the bible and see the reaction you get nowadays. Derision and ignorance due, in no small part, to societies move away from foundational principles. Things such as: Life is sacred. Or, if you don’t mind so elementary a statement, forgiveness of others trespasses on your own sensibilities. Last time I took stock, none of us are perfect. To forgive is divine, as the bible puts it and if God can forgive then why not I? Answer, I surely can and have.
You know what forgiveness allows a person, a lighter than air feeling as forgiveness is proper and needed by and for all of us. It is a thing to think about next time someone steps on your sensibilities. Did you actually think another would not step on your sensibilities? What in the blue blazes were you thinking? I know, this is dangerous thought but I didn’t think of it, God did. In fact, Adam and Eve gave us imperfection through their sin in the Garden of Eden.
